Sharing The Shade, basically,
to connect with other women through life experience. When we share our
spiritual journey with others, we can face the complexities of life
together and are able to encourage one another in the grace and faithfulness
of God. |

Women’s Ministries Bible Studies
Summer 2010
*** Praying the Names of God by Ann Spangler
We’ll be using this unique book in a special summer SPA format: Study, Prayer, and Action. First we’ll be refreshing ourselves by exploring the Hebrew names of God and his absolute faithfulness as revealed in scripture; then we’ll be praying for the church & God’s vision for us as his body; finally, we’ll work on various projects to help others here and abroad---sewing, crafting, organizing---with a willing spirit as the only skill needed! The morning will be facilitated by Karen Fentress & friends.

*** Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs
Come join us for this study---- entertaining (“a hoot to read!”) and
yet incredibly helpful as it spotlights God’s compassion, mercy and unconditional love. Liz brings a fresh perspective on these unique
and real Bible women---looking at what they have done wrong to
help us figure out how we can live right!

By Your Side Mentoring
Ladies, would you like a woman to pray with, talk to and to help you do this thing called life? If yes, mentoring is for you. For six months you will meet with your partner once a week to pray and discuss a book together. Never fear, you won't be tackling your whole life, you can pick one area from the following: overall study, prayer, hospitality, mothering, marriage, household management, Bible study, attributes of a godly woman. Partnerships are formed in late Summer or early Fall. |

Come join Jenny Miller as she leads
our summer book club. The 1st book
is A Woman's Place by Lynn Austin.
Come by the atrium to signup. The
club will meet every other Monday
evening in the library starting June 14th.

Breakfast and Browse - Saturday, July 17th
Calling all Ladies! Please join us for Breakfast at Breadwinners (4021 Preston Road in Plano), then we'll "Browse" at the Lakeside Shopping area which includes Sur La Table, Weir's Furniture, Paper Affair and The Market Antiques. This is a great time to meet someone new or bring a friend you'd like to spend time with. Meeting time is 8:30, plan for fellowship and fun! It's a wonderful thing to live with freedom in America!
So we will be welcoming home home our troops at DFW.
Wednesday, June 16th
We will leave around 6:00 - 6:30AM or possibly later to greet soldiers. We are collecting donations of pre-wrapped gum to hand out with a sticker, that we will add, that says "Thanks for keeping our country stuck together!" Come by the atrium to signup, drop off gum and be added to a carpool. Feel free to bring your kids with you too to get them involved in hands on outreach.
